Professor John Thompson, Head of English, Queen’s University, and Professor Ciaran Carson Director of The Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry formally welcomed Pádraigín at a reception held in the Old Staff Room, Lanyon Bulding, 23 November, to announce Queen’s first resident singer.
