Pádraigín was presented with one of the 2018 Oscars in traditional music, Gradam Ceoil TG4, for her ‘Outstanding Contribution to Traditional Song’. Pádraigín has been awarded Gradam Comaoin (Outstanding Contribution) for Gradam Ceoil TG4 2018. The awards concert will take place at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on Sunday 4 February and will also be broadcast on TG4. A new double CD of Oriel songs has been launched on 7 October 2017. Ceoltaí Oirialla – Songs of Oriel contains 27 Oriel songs which Pádraigín has renewed, including 14 accompanied and 14 unaccompanied songs.
