Pádraigín at Feis Loch Lao 2011

Pádraigín was today at the Blackbird Festival, Feis Loch Lao 2011. This year is the first festival celebrating the Saints and Scholars of Belfast Loch who, with the companions from across the island of Ireland lit a torch which illuminated the darkness and whose echo sounds out as clearly today as it did a thousand years ago.

Pádraigín, whose latest album will feature words from the early St. Gallen manuscripts, written by Irish scribes, is seen above with Jake Mac Siacais, Forbairt Feirste; Prof. Peter Finn, Principal St. Mary’s University College; James O’Fee, Ullans Academy; Dr Maria Hufenus, Librarian, Monastery of St. Gallen, Switzerland; Pádraigín; and Dr. Gabrielle Maguire, St Mary’s University College.
